Although transparency cannot be the only criteria for gemstone identification, it can efficiently used in gemstone grading. Talking about their transparency, Fluorite is Transparent, Translucent and Transparent to translucent while Fluorite is Transparent, Translucent and Transparent to translucent in appearance.
